Rewards Tiers

Your cardholder status determines how quickly you earn points and what extra perks you unlock. You move up a tier automatically as your annual spending with the card increases. Gold Gold status is your starting tier when you open the account. You earn the standard points rate across all spending categories and receive access to cardholder-only events and savings. Platinum Once your annual spending reaches the Platinum threshold, your points-earning rate increases — typically by around 25% above the Gold rate at JCPenney. You also gain access to additional bonus-point events throughout the year. Titanium Titanium is the top tier, reserved for the highest annual spenders. Titanium cardholders enjoy the best points-earning rate — often up to 50% more than the Gold rate on JCPenney purchases — along with priority customer service and exclusive Titanium-only promotions.
Tier status is evaluated annually. If your spending drops below the threshold for your current tier, you may be moved to a lower tier at the start of the next program year. Check your account dashboard to see your current status and how much spending separates you from the next tier.

How to Redeem Rewards Certificates

When you accumulate enough points, a rewards certificate is automatically issued to your account. Here’s how to put it to work:

Receive Your Certificate

Once you reach the minimum points threshold (typically 200 points = a $10 rewards certificate), your certificate is issued digitally. You’ll receive a notification by email or through the JCPenney app. You can also view all available certificates by logging in to your account at jcp.com.

Redeem In-Store

At checkout, let the associate know you’d like to apply a rewards certificate. They can look it up by your account or you can present the certificate number printed on your statement or shown in your digital account.

Redeem Online

When shopping at JCPenney.com, add your items to your cart and proceed to checkout. In the payment section, enter your rewards certificate code in the designated field before completing your order. Multiple certificates can be applied to a single order.
